Printed Mugs can essentially be split into 2 different categories, Bone China and Earthenware.  The majority of Printed Mugs we produce are Earthenware as they are much more hard wearing, however it all depends on the requirement of the user, for example if they are to be used in a restaurant or hotel then a Bone China style maybe appropriate.  If the Mugs are to be used as a Giveaway then Earthenware is the most cost effective option.

Mugs are available in a wide range of shapes and styles from the best sellers such as the Durham, Bell and Sparta styles to the trendy coffee shop styles such as the Latte, Butch and Jumbo.

All Promotional Mugs can be printed using various methods of reproduction.  The most common method is what is known as Screen Printing, whereby the print is screened directly onto the mug by machine.  Its quick, efficient and the most cost effective way of Printing your logo.  It’s ideal for logos that involve line and solid work giving good pantone colour matching.  We can reproduce photographs and complicated 4 colour process images by varied methods.  The first method involves using ceramic inks through fine mesh screening onto ceramic transfer paper which enables us to produce high quality images which can be transferred to any shape mug, plate, bowl etc then fused to the glaze to ensure that it is dishwasher safe.  Another popular method of reproducing complicated designs is to use ‘Screen Printed Transfers’.  This method allows application of a design into areas that the screen print method excludes.  A logo can be applied inside the mug either on the base or rim, on the outside base as a backstamp, or even on the handle!

To give your corporate mugs that extra special touch a precious metal gilded rim can be applied to the rim of almost any style of mug.

We also produce the ever popular ‘Heat Change’ or ‘Wow’ mugs.  Part or all of your logo/design can be covered with a Thermochromic coating which (when the mug is empty) hides the logo.  When hot water is applied however the logo comes to life!’

Printed Mugs can be glazed in a number of colours to suit your corporate guidelines, however we also offer ‘Spectracoating’ which allows one or two pantone matched colours to be spray coated onto the exterior surface of a mug to leave a high quality finish which can then be decorated using the direct screen printing process.

Lead times for the above methods of reproduction vary.  Typically a screen printed job requires 3 weeks whereas a more complicated transfer or 4 colours process job can take between 4-6 weeks.

When you place your order for Promotional Mugs we will send you a visual showing your logo in the position requested.  It is at this stage that amendments can be made to the layout.  Only when you have approved the final design do we go to print.  On orders typically over 250 Mugs we would also produce a finished printed sample for you to approve before we proceed with printing the bulk order.  The mugs are normally bulk packed and despatched however if required we can supply individual mailing cartons or even presentation cartons for you to use in your promotion.
